Why Lucy Liz?

Hi, My name is Laura eLIZabeth Dilley.  The eye behind the Lucy Liz Lens.  Why Lucy you ask? Lucy was a name given to me by a few of the most important men in my life.  I am THE girl, dropped somewhere in the middle of three brothers. Needless to say, their nickname for me was/is Lucy. Who knew that after years of teasing and torment a nickname would come in handy.  I actually think its kinda fabulous...ergo the creation of Lucy Liz Images!! ;)

I am first and foremost a mother and wife. I adore my family, and they are most definitely the inspiration behind the lens, as you may already painfully know if you follow my blog and fb!! My photography journey began with my first born over 5 years ago.  Enamoured with the beauty of what I had created (lol) I quickly burned out my point and shoot camera taking hundreds of thousands of millions of pictures of the poor girl.  It was during this time that I also found my love for photoshop (hey look ma, I can leave her eyes blue and turn everything else black and white---eeek).  I set up wrinkled sheets, posed her with the dog, and called it a shoot.  I gotta say, I STILL love those pictures (don't worry--- I promise no sheets will be wrinkled or dogs will be forcefully staged in the making of Lucy Liz Images)!  I started this journey wanting to learn how to take pictures of my kids.  Pictures that I could be proud of and hang on my walls.  Pictures that years to come I could look back on and still SEE what I saw through that lens. In the process I found a priceless passion!  So please follow my blog, tell your friends to follow my blog, check me out on fb, and contact me if you wish to set up a session!
